Analysis of SWOT Poland

Poland has a lot of strenghts, but also weaknesses. There are opportunities to improve some aspects in life and threats that we can be afraid of.

Strengths:

– great cultural potential (urban complexes, UNESCO sites,   rural development complexes, living folk culture)
– good condition of the natural environment
– transit location
– good network of air and rail connections with Europe and the   world
– connection with the European historical and cultural tradition
– hospitality, openness and friendly attitude towards foreigners
– rapid quantitative and qualitative development of tourist services

Weaknesses:

– quality rarely corresponds to the price
– frequent lack of tourist service culture
– poor availability of tourist services and tourist information   caused by lack of knowledge of foreign languages, low   qualifications of staff
– bad technical condition of roads, low standard of railways
– few regional airports
– low budget subsidies for the promotion of tourism
– small number of mid-class hotels

Opportunities:

-development of the technology sector: potential for further growth in the field of technology and innovation.
-EU funds for the development of infrastructure and innovation
-Poland can benefit from developing markets by exporting its products and services.
-increased protection of monuments
-monitoring in the forest, more marked garbage bins
-increasing comfort when travelling by rail by investing in better trains
-bigger amount od museum with European history
-learning tolerance towards other nationalities, religions and cultures
-construction of a nuclear power plant

Threats:

-an increase in raw material prices may affect production costs.
-disruption of the labor market by incoming refugees from Ukraine
-the fall of Christianity
-the death of national identity
-slow modernization of Polish education in schools
-no inflow of new teachers due to lack of prospects and small places
-a demographic crisis that will cause a decline in the national economy
-worldwide expiration
