Foreign Policy Italy
Italy belongs to the european union since 1957 and also belongs to NATO since 1949. Italian foreign policy is complex and varied, but it focuses around certain categories:
- internation cooperation and integration – italy has many shared european things such as euro and a shared market;
- transatlantic relations – italy belongs to nato and keeps close connections with the usa;
- mediterranean sea patrol – italy plays an important role in the sea, keeping safety and stability;
- immigration politics – italy has had an immigration problem for some considerable amount of time, having to deal with illegal immigrants.
Italy conducts various aspects of foreign policy, covering its relations with other countries, international organizations and global issues. Here are some examples:
1.European Union: Italy plays an important role as a member of the European Union (EU). They participate in decision-making processes and work on common policies in areas such as trade, security, migration and others.
2.Middle East: Italy is engaged in diplomacy in the Middle East, especially in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They try to support peaceful solutions and provide humanitarian aid.
3.Fight against terrorism: Italy is a member of international initiatives aimed at combating terrorism, especially in the context of cooperation with other countries and organizations in the field of information exchange.
