Souvlaki and Tzatziki – a quick and Greek recipe for dinner for the whole family … YOU WILL MAKE IT EVERY DAY

One of the most recognizable Greek dishes are souvlaki and tzatziki, which cannot be missed on the Greek table.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

Chicken breasts without skin 400 g 2 pieces

Olive oil 60 ml 5 tbsp

Lemon juice 48 ml 4 tbsp

Garlic 18 g 3 cloves

salt, pepper, oregano

Preparation:

Pour olive oil, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of oregano and crushed garlic into a bowl. Cut the meat into equal-sized cubes, about 1 cm. Put the meat in the marinade and leave for 30 minutes. Soak skewers in water.

After 30 minutes, thread the meat onto skewers.

Heat the pan and fry the souvlaki for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Ingredients:

200 g of Greek yogurt

2-3 smaller field cucumbers – 140 g

1 clove of garlic

spoon of delicate olive oil

a larger pinch of salt

optionally chopped herbs: dill, parsley, oregano

PREPARATION:

Wash the cucumber, grate it on larger meshes, salt it and leave it for half an hour. After this time, drain it from the juice, add pressed garlic cloves.

Mix everything with yoghurt, season to taste with pepper and salt if necessary. Add finely chopped dill, or drizzle with a little olive oil.

Chill in the fridge before serving.
